My real name is Malcolm McLachlan and I’m a 58 year old gay man living in Devon. My partner, Gary, and I did the Civil Partnership thing in 2008 having been together for some 15 years. Gary is currently studying for his Masters Degree in Law at Exeter University and has just been accepted to do a Doctorate of Law starting this autumn.
I am a student on the Access to HE course at Exeter College and have been offered a conditional place at the University of Exeter where I plan to read English.
When I'm not messing around with websites and design I spend far too much time playing on our Xbox360, current game of the moment being Fallout New Vegas.
Why Old Midhurstian? Quite simple really, I attended Midhurst Grammar School in West Sussex between 1964 and 1971 and we were know as Midhurstians thus I am legitimately an "Old Midhurstian". If anyone thinks they know me I’d love to hear from you.
The header image is a view of Lurgashall in West Sussex, the village in which I grew up. I have been back a few times over the last 20 years or so but unfortunately most of my visits have been necessitated by bereavment and I've not really been able to take much pleasure in returning to this beautiful place
